- 1 lime, freshly squeezed (22.5mls)
- 22.5mls simple sugar syrup
- Ice cubes to suit.

Add all ingredients into a cocktail shaker. Shake vigorously and serve.
The History of the Gin Gimlet
The Gimlet recipe became famous 60 years ago, late in 1953, when it appeared in Raymond Chandler's novel The Long Goodbye. But before that it's believed that Gimlets were served to sailors in the British Royal Navy as a means of fighting scurvy.
